Job Summary: The Master Scheduler will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned department or facility. Will also execute production control functions to facilitate the flow of information among and between departments according to an established production schedule
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, procurement, and manufacturing
- Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
- Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
- Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
- Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
- Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
- Reviews standard and special production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to identify, support, and prioritize requirements for materials and staff.
- Revises production schedules to address issues such as labor or material shortages, backlogs, or design changes.
- Distributes production schedules and work orders to departments.
- Reviews project documents, materials, and products to assess accuracy, completion, and compliance with standards and specifications.
- Drafts and maintains records related to production data and performance including volume produced and quality control analytics.
- Coordinates production and shipping activities; helps resolve issues and delays through collaboration with staff, procurement, and customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience in production control is required.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
